Course Description
Are you new to photography and want to learn more about your camera and how to make better images? This class will give participants basic assignments to create strong compositions, increase knowledge of exposure and the camera's functions, foster visual expression, and build confidence. Students will learn how to work with exposure, depth of field, stop action, framing, and composition. Lectures, demonstrations, in-class exercises, assignments, and work reviews will be used in the course to increase each participant's skills in photography. Images can be downloaded for review in class (digital cameras) or taken to a service bureau for processing (film cameras).

Requirements
Participants should have a rudimentary knowledge of their camera (digital or film- a camera with manual adjustments and focus is preferred, but not required). Bring your camera, fresh batteries, and your camera's manual to class. No other previous experience required.
