Martin Springborg holds Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is primarily influenced by Harry Callahan and Emmet Gowin. His publications include Proof: Ruminations on the Everyday and a chapter consisting of an essay and photographs in North: Stories and Photographs. He is currently working on a photographic essay about the St. Croix River and working for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Center for Teaching and Learning.

Nancy G. Johnson is a professional photographer who has exhibited locally and nationally, and has work in the collections of the Minnesota Historical Society, Ironworld, and the University of Minnesota. She received a BA in Art from the University of Minnesota, and worked as a professional photographer for the University of Minnesota for sixteen years. She continues to shoot for commercial clients, as well as pursuing personal projects. She is currently working on a series about the women faculty in the University's Institute of Technology.
