About the review process

We will make every effort to respond to unsolicited submissions within six months. Please make it clear if you would like your materials returned, and include appropriate shipping fees and packaging if so.

The Artistic Director may request more information from you, and may at some point decide to meet with you to discuss your work further. Please be forewarned, however, that personal feedback and consultation on your work is not guaranteed to all who submit photographs for consideration by MCP; some material will simply be unsuitable for exhibition at the Center and will be returned without specific comment. The Artistic Director does hold monthly meetings with new artists, and submitting work for review is an excellent way to introduce your photographs for further consideration. Many of MCP's exhibitions result from a curator's interest in someone's work growing over a period of years; an unsolicited submission is typically the starting point for a process of increasing comprehension and appreciation, perhaps eventually an exhibition or program at the Center.
