What we show:
Minnesota Center for Photography exhibits analogue and digital photography in both traditional and experimental forms, and photography as a principal component of mixed media, printmaking, or installation arts.
Individual artist portfolios:
Please submit 10-20 digital images (CD or DVD), resume, artist's statement, and any other supporting materials. Traditional slides may also be submitted. URLs, for web-site portfolios, are also acceptable. An SASE is required for return of submission- please use stamps, no metered postage.
Curated exhibition proposals:
Please submit a curator's exhibition proposal statement, proposed budget, and resumes and images from participating artists. If your proposal is in early planning stages and only a few of the artists in the exhibition are selected, please send images and information on previously curated exhibitions including where and when these exhibitions were shown along with promotional materials and any reviews.
Minnesota Projects Gallery (MPG) proposals:
MPG is a space for experimental and artist-driven installations. These installations run concurrently with exhibitions in the other spaces, but are not tied to them thematically.
MCP will review proposals for the use of this space by interested artists who are Minnesota residents and who will be able to formulate and complete an installation of their own design. Please send materials as noted above, with a proposal specifically stating interest in the MN Projects Gallery. MCP will offer reimbursement of installation expenses up to a set level. We encourage you to view the space in person to help you conceive your project.
